RIP to Overdone Looks

We’ve all bought into trends at some point in our lives – it’s okay, that’s why trends come and go. However, some of those trends stick around a bit too long. If you’re looking to clean out your closet or if you’re in the market for some new wardrobe pieces this is what you should throw out and stay away from when you’re shopping. It’s time to mourn the loss of your favorite over done trends and expand your horizons.
Chevron – This was cute in 2012, but it’s 2014, and you’re a grown woman. This pattern shouldn’t be seen on anyone over the age of 4. It was one of those fads that slapped you across the face because it was seriously appealing to the eye. Zig zags and bright colors? Heck yeah! But sadly, it’s over and it’s time to have a funeral for your chevron patterned pieces.
Hi-low – I have been a hi-low offender and it worked for a minute! But what are we really trying to achieve with this look? Are you wearing a short skirt or a long skirt? Why? Did you forget to roll over while you were laying out and you’re hiding your weird tan line? Just stick to a short skirt or a long one and you won’t go wrong UNLESS you switch to the next type of skirt that is on its way out of the door.
Sheer Maxi Skirts/Dresses – Once again, what are you trying to achieve here? You’re modestly showing a little leg? I can still see through your skirt. It’s a paradox. It’s done. Throw it out!
Peplum – I know it’s cute, I know it hides a tummy, but it’s been done to death, so let’s let peplum RIP.
I know it’s a sad day when you have to let certain things go – but it’s healthy. Change is GOOD!
Thank you for reading and please stay tuned for more to come on the store! The first shipment of clothes is on its way and shopping is about to begin! Get EXCITED! (Because I know I am!)
xx,
Jordan
